Michael Eisenbraun

Education and Experience

Michael Eisenbraun received his Bachelor's of Science in Technical Communication from Iowa State University in December of 2005.

Michael has worked full time as a web designer for Mutual of Omaha since November 2007. He works with a team to create and maintain nearly a 100 different sites that are owned by Mutual of Omaha.

Michael was a full time web designer for Cycle Source Group from January 2007 to November 2007. His duties include improving the appearance, accessibility, and management of websites, adding functionality and database interaction, tapping into previously unused resources, and providing better communication between the customers and the company.

Michael has a broad range of knowledge in multimedia design such as video production, page layout design, web design, graphic design, and Flash. He also has experience in web technologies and techniques including XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and AJAX. The following are examples of artifacts that Michael has created.

Girl Scouts Photo Gallery: Archive
The Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois impacts over 20,000 girls and 5,000 adults in 38 counties. To better serve these communities, they wanted to add a photo gallery to their existing web site. Michael was commissioned as a Freelance designer to build this photo gallery in late 2007.

Cycle Source Group: Live Link
Cycle Source Group is one of the world's largest supplier of Bicycles and Bicycle products and distributes several internationally known brand names. The Cycle Source Group website was designed and launched in 2007. The site utilizes CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and PHP technology.

Kawasaki Bicycles: Live Link
Kawasaki is one brand of bicycles manufactured by Cycle Source Group. The Kawasaki Bicycles website was built for Cycle Source Group in 2007. The design of the website was provided as a concept drawing, which was used a guide to design the site. The product pages are dynamically created using JavaScript and PHP.

BicycleSurplus: Live Link
BicycleSurplus is a retail store that sells bicycles that have been discontinued or are contain blemishes. The BicycleSurplus website, which was created in 2007, is primarily used to list the current bicycles in stock, known as BicycleSearch. Customers can search current stock based on several different parameters and make purchases online. BicycleSearch was created using PHP and MySQL.

SCAVMA Scamper: Archive
SCAVMA Scamper is an annual 5K/10K race hosted by the Iowa State University SCAVMA Chapter. Michael designed the web site for the SCAVMA Scamper committee in 2007.

Door Decorations: For his job as a Resident Assistant, Michael had to make Door Decorations for all the members of Stanton House. This is a collaboration of some of the Door Decorations Michael made.
